After arriving at Shahid Dastgheib International Airport of Shiraz, you will meet and greet Derak representative. Then, you will transfer to hotel to rest.

Right after having your breakfast, you will drive toward Marvdasht County (52 km). On your way, you will visit Quarn Gate with the beautiful Sofre-ye Haftsin that is prepared for Nowruz; then you’ll visit the masterpieces of Achaemenid Empire:

• Necropolis (Naqsh-e Rostam)
• Persepolis (UNESCO site)

After eating breakfast, you have the whole day to discover the crowded and energetic city; while visiting:

• Vakil Complex (Bazaar, Mosque and Bathhouse)
• Eram Garden (UNESCO site)
• Hafez Tomb

Today, it’s time to explore the Iranian tradition and culture and have a memorable day full of joy and happiness. You will celebrate Nowruz with local people at a traditional house or a local eco lodge; you will learn about the customs, traditions, activities, foods and sweets.

Nowrooz, the Persian New Year, is celebrated by different people around the world especially the ones located on the Silk Road. Iranians celebrate the arrival of spring on the first day of vernal equinox, usually March 21.

One of the beauties of Nowruz is the provisions that begin a month earlier; everything should be clean and every one should wear new and colorful clothes. The whole family comes together while celebrate around a special table in their house. This table called “Sofre-ye Haft Sin” including seven special objects, that begin with the “s” sound in Farsi language. These objects symbolize purity, brightness, abundance, happiness and fertility for the New Year.

At midnight, you will transfer to Shiraz International Airport for departure flight.
